2 Peter 1:5-11: Expounds upon the importance of adding to your faith certain attributes that we should develop in order to become overcoming Christians. The Bible says, the purpose of adding these attributes is so that we will not be useless, unfruitful, blind, short-sighted, and fall back into former sins. We need these virtues added to our faith in order to make our calling and election sure, never stumbling.

In studying the words of Jesus I marveled as I read only 2 chapters. For in these two chapters I believe we discover an important truth. In Matt 8:13 “and Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way, and as thou has believed,so be it unto thee.” He had not found such faith in all Israel as this centurion had shown.
Now look at Matthew 9:2, “and behold they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed.
